Who We Are

The campaign to Transform Baltimore: Build Schools, Build Neighborhoods calls upon elected officials and decision-makers at the city, state, and federal levels to adopt and implement a funding plan to fully renovate or rebuild every public school building in Baltimore City within ten years.  The campaign won House Bill 860, which is estimated to generate approximately $1 billion to renovate and rebuilt up to 28 schools in Baltimore CIty.  The campaign is committed to stay active until all 130+ school buildings in Baltimore City are safe, healthy, and supportive of a 21st century, high quality education for students and teachers.

Members launch Transform Baltimore campaign in August 2011 at Booker T. Washington Middle School.
